The Hopper Fare is getting a big update this summer

Together, we’ll rewild this city

A eurasian beaver swims toward the camera in a river. The sun reflects off the surface of the water, which ripples around the beaver.

Some opposed our work to put nature at the heart of London. I sincerely hope that David Attenborough’s incredible new “Wild London” documentary has changed their minds.

We aren’t reintroducing beavers and white storks simply because a thriving natural world is better for humans, though it is. We’re doing it because this city – and this planet – isn’t just for us. It’s something we share with countless other incredible lifeforms, all fascinating and worthy of celebration.

Globally, more than 47,000 species are believed to be under threat of extinction. As those extinctions accelerate and the climate crisis makes the world even more hostile to life, what we must do has never been clearer: make and meet our urgent climate targets, and protect and restore our natural world.

We’ll keep doing that right here in London.
